How long has Kmet Hosting been in operation?
After 5 years of hosting only our most valued mission critical web development projects we officially formed Kmet Hosting and opened our doors to the public on December 2002. [^]

Where is the Data Center based?
The Net Access Corporation (NAC) datacenter is located inn Parsippany, N.J. 07054, USA. More information about its amazing network and facilities can be found on the network page. [^]

Is the hosting provided by Kmet Hosting reliable?
It certainly is! NAC's connections to multiple backbone providers, and peering with many carriers on a regional and international basis, allows them to easily reach remote networks even in the case where a network access point (NAP) may be unhealthy, or when a specific backbone connection is down. It also allows them to make intelligent routing decisions; for example, if they are trying to reach a remote network which is on the Sprint network, there's no reason to send it out to UUNET first.

By placing their core nodes at places like Equinix and Telehouse, we are guaranteed a level of competent service. All of their core nodes employ SONET networks, which essentially provides a dual-redundant, counter-rotating ring technology, and in the event of a fiber cut, the SONET will automatically heal itself. NAC also divide their circuits among several telecommunications providers, such as Verizon, MFS/Worldcom, and Adelphia. [^]

What type of servers will my site be hosted on?
State of the art Intel Dual XEON™ 2.4GHz [with Hyperthreading] servers with 2.0GB ECC RAM, 2 - 80GB Seagate 7200rpm HD and Hardened Secure Kernel. These Dual XEON™ servers are extremely powerful and make for an excellent hosting platform. [^]

What happens if I want to upgrade my plan?
Simply let us know by submitting a support ticket in your account center; we'll upgrade your plan. You'll have access to the extra disk space and data transfer right away, however; we will wait until the following payment cycle to charge you the upgraded plan prices. [^]

What will happen if I exceed my disk space and data transfer allowances?
If this happens by only a small margin, we'll ignore it; however, if it's in excess we'll simply upgrade your package and let you know. You won't experience any downtime or an embarrasing 'this account has exceeded its resources' page. [^]

Do you provide Windows Based hosting?
No. Kmet Hosting only provides Linux based hosting. We don't have plans to offer Windows hosting anytime in the future. [^]

How long does it take to establish an account?
From the time you complete the credit card authorization from our processing facility, your account will be activated in under 6 hours. Usually it is much less than this, but please allow 6 hours maximum. Most accounts are activated in just minutes. [^]

If I buy hosting and don't like it, do I get my money back?
Yes. We offer a 30 day money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with our services. [^]

Why don't you provide telephone support through a call center?
Call centers are extremely expensive to operate and would force our prices up significantly. We provide hosting solutions to clients from many different countries and telephone support does not efficiently function across that platform whereas web based support does. We find that we can be more specific with web based support compared to verbal support via the phone. Web based support also documents our responses so you can revisit them at a later date rather than trying to make your own notes from a telephone conversation. [^]

If I sign up for an account, will you provide me with help and assistance?
YES! First rate and rapid support is our passion! You can contact us for very fast, friendly and extremely helpful support via the account center help desk. You can search through the knoweldge base and watch flash tutorials covering nearly every aspect of using your hosting account. [^]

How fast do you answer support questions?
Support replies are usually answered within 6 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Most times your support tickets are answered within just minutes. If we happen to get bogged down and can't get back to you within twenty-four hours we will credit you a whole month of service, please read our support promise for details. [^]

Will you help me in registering or transferring my domain name to your servers?
Yes, once you have established your account please submit a support ticket through your account center, and we'll get right on it.You may also try looking through our domain registrar flash tutorials located in the support knowledge base, they will show you the process as well! [^]

In our control panels for each domain name, can we setup email addresses, sub-domains, auto-responders and the like thereof?
Yes, the control panel (CPanel™) is one of the very best in the industry. You can manage all aspects of your hosting from setting up email addresses to configuring your MySQL databases. It's set out in a friendly manner and it's easy to understand and use. [^]

Can I see how much disk space and data transfer my domain names are utilizing?
Yes. That information is available in the CPanel™. [^]

Can I see a page that shows my domain and its usage stats?
Yes. That information is available in the CPanel™. You can monitor your statistics even on a per subdomain level. Statistics are presented in an easy to read graphical format. [^]

What if I need more resources than the enterprise package?
If you need more resources than our enterprise package, then you can make a request for more space and bandwidth. Please submit a support ticket through your account center for this. [^]

Can I use FrontPage 98, 2000 and 2002 to build my site and host it on your servers?
Yes, we support FrontPage 98, 2000 and 2002 with the very latest FrontPage Server Extensions. [^]

Do I get a Forum preinstalled with my hosting account?
Yes. You receive absolutely free the powerful PHP, MySQL based PHPbb Forum. This forum is a snap to setup and configure. It's easy to use and industrial strength yet easy on the servers by utilizing the PHP programming language and MySQL databases. Do I get a shopping cart preinstalled on my hosting account?
Yes. You receive the powerful Interchange Shopping Cart from RedHat.com absolutely free.
